Nourishing Soul

Was up way early to get ready for church. I always make sure that if possible, we’ll get there on time but that’s not always the case. Hubby takes forever to get ready. I told him to wake up early but he snooze some more. The more you said wake up, the more he snooze. LOL! Me and the kids are ready to go but his not. So we have to wait and wait until were late. I told him not to do this again, it’s annoying, and hopefuly we get there on time all the time. We’ll see on the next Sunday if he  does what he promise. It’s only Sunday and i hope he can do it. Ok, got to go, i think his ready and be on our way.

My son is in 3rd grade and in our church all 3rd graders are given a bible for them to keep and read basically to learn how to read it. My son will be getting his this Sunday and there will be a potluck and a little activity for them. Teaching them how use it and what it means. We have to bring a dish that will feed 12 people so right now i am still thinking of what to bring. Should i make it? Or just buy. Hubby thinks i should make my famous shanghai eggroll but honestly i don’t feel like it. If i do, at least i have to make 2 dozens. I have to go the asian store, get some lumpia wrappers and other ingredients to go with it. I’ll have to see and i hope i will be inspired to do it. Right now, i am tired and i feel like i am going to get sick. Hopefully not. Have a good day y’all. Enjoy! 

My little girl can’t wait to see her friend Ashley today. She is my friend’s daughter and we are going to see them today at the baby shower.  There will be lot of friends there also, and of course eating won’t be an exception. I wanted to make an eggroll to bring it over  but my laziness prevented me from doing so. I will make it up to them someday. For now, i will just bring a gift for the shower. She said, there are plenty of foods so need not worry about bringing some. Oki-doki, have to get ready now co’z it takes 45 minutes to get there plus traffic.  Oops, someone is calling, have to park it here, and have a wonderfy day!

It’s almost weekend, time to have fun and enjoy with the family. My little girl is talking about this movie called “IGOR” which will be in theaters tomorrow. She said, she wants to see it when it opens. I told her certainly we can do that. The weather is great today, i’m planning of having my carpet steamed before fall gets here but i’ll wait till the kids go back to school so that there won’t be any little ones running around and thus make the cleaning faster. Ok, need to go buy some groceries and make hubby a very good dinner. He told me to surprise him fo dinner. He said he can’t wait. LOL! I will make his favorite steak, bake potatoes and green beans. Just got back picking up my son from school doing some science activities. He loves science, doing some experiments, learning about bugs and other insects really fascinates him. In fact any chance  he gets, he asked his dad to take him to a place where he can see/find  fossils and dinosaur remains.  Sometimes i wonder why he’s into it so much. It’s probably just a phase by now, boys at this age, love that kind of stuff. Something to keep them busy and keep them thinking.  It’s Monday, we are starting a new week and yes! we are in the middle of September. Geez, time flies so fast and before we know it, it will be Christmastime. The most awaited time of the year. Can’t wait. Have a very good week ahead. 

We have a lot of things planned this weekend.  We are going to buy a new entertainment center for our new LCD TV and Nintendo Wii game console.  My son can’t wait to play with it, he is so excited.  The hard thing is looking for a new entertainment center that both me and hubby will agree. It’s going to be a challenge for sure. hehehe. But we’ll see. I hope the weather will cooperate, wonder if it’s going to rain this weekend. Hope not, someone will come over and mow the lawn and aerate it. If ever it rains, hope the guy will get done before it pours.  Hope everything will work out, and have a great weekend as well. I wake up with a headache. It feels like i did not sleep at all. I felt so bad and acted like a grouchy mommy. But i did take my little girl on her pottery class on time. She loves it and doesn’t mind making her hands dirty. Unlike my son, who has a problem getting his hands dirty. No two are alike they are unique in each way and as an individual. Cute in their own little way, i supposed. I have to go back and pick her up in a couple of hours and at the same time do my laundry. My hamper is overloaded and basically needs some attention. I have to do it before the dirty clothes wash themselves. LOL! If only. Need to go before i’m out of time, have a good day y’all.

Hubby’s birthday is on the 8th of this month and tonight he wants to go out to eat. I haven’t gotten any presents for him, i don’t know what to get and don’t know what he wants. If i bother to asks him, he always say “World Peace”. Well, i can’t make it happen but i’ll try. hehehe.  Guess, we all want peace. On the other hand, i am pretty excited my cousin will be back from the Phils. this Tuesday. My sister sent something for me, in fact for the whole family, and i can’t wait. I told her to buy me a couple of jeans (skinny jeans) , i really love skinny jeans, it’s the best, i am tiny and it fits great.  And she also sent some delicacies back home, so i am really excited.

I was busy the whole day, cleaning the house and putting some stuff away. Need to clean before fall gets here. I was also vacuuming all the vents, it was dusty and while doing it, i also keep sneezing. Have to get it done real quick so that i can do more cleaning. The fans need my attention also, it’s been months since it got clean. LOL! Toys, toys everywhere, my little boys room also need some attention.  I am planning of doing it over the weekend. I am glad they are off for three weeks and will be back in school on the 30th. At least, i don’t have to wake up early, i can sleep in some more,  have not done it for a long time since school starts.  And i surely missed waking up late.   :D

Why Nourishing Soul?  Well, i just love it. It’s the meaning of my name and it suits very well, i guess. Growing up, i wasn’t really sure if i like my name. They always refer me to an actress, that was so famous at that time. She is also very pretty like she never aged until today. But as time goes on , i learned to embrace and love it. It’s not weird after all. Especially when my mom showed me the meaning of it.
