Nourishing Soul

Yes, finally i can breathe. My friend picked up her kids and it’s just me and my own kids again. She was asking me what would i do tomorrow, cause if i don’t have something to do, she probably wants me to watch her kids again??? Oh no, i will be soooo busy tomorrow. It’s the weekend, time to spend some quality time with the family. I don’t want to be bothered with babysitting or anything. I want to sleep all i want, wake up when i want to, no headaches, no hassle. I want to take my kids shopping, buy want they want (just this time) enjoy, and have a good time together. Life is too short, enjoy every moment, have fun with your loved ones and show them how wonderful life is. Spend some quality time with your family, it’s all worthwhile. Have a good weekend y’all!

For some reason my son is a good reader but he doesn’t like reading a lot. He has this assigment, a chapter book that he needs to read, write questions for discussions, record the new word and find the meaning. If i won’t guide him, he wouldn’t do it and just keep putting it off. I’m thinking the book is probably so boring that’s why he did not like to read it. It was about the “Titanic” yes “Titanic”. He is not interested cause he has seen the movie of it a million times. No wonder, why i can’t get him started. I probably need to go to his class and asks the teacher to give him a different book to read. I’ll see.

When hubby and I were dating, our theme song was “You are the sunshine of my life”. Corny as may sound but it was just one of those things. We liked it, and he sent me a tape, not a cd yet it was a decade ago, hehehe, Cd was not in yet or maybe was just starting. And yes, until now i still play it and listen to it. Now, we have two sunshine in our lives, which makes the day always bright and sunny. Here they are!

Sun is up, kids are at school and I am here checking some stuff and just taking everything easy. What a beautiful day indeed! We are going to be warmer today, feels a lot like Spring. Spring is my favorite time of the year. It was kind of cold when I took the kids early this morning but comes noon it will be warm. I was a little worried since my son never wear his jacket, he doesn’t like it, he said it’s annoying that’s why he won’t take it. But that’s okay since it’s going to be warm and sunny. I have a baby shower to attend on Sunday, I need to check what’s on her baby registry and take it from there. It’s her first child. she’s very excited and two months more she will be able to see him. It’s a boy, and boys are precious. I can’t wait to see him either. Goodluck Dalia!

I am ecstatic, I can relax, sleep in and wake up late. It’s going to be a long weekend since Monday is a holiday. One thing for sure is, I need to clean the house, so some arranging since Spring is just around the corner. If I can get done early, i will go shopping for my balikbayan boxes so that I can send it and it will be on it’s way. The other box is full, and there is still one more box to go, hopefully I can get it done so that comes February it will be done, get picked up and be on it’s way. My friend told me that I have to do some listing what’s in the box cause it’s necessary. I am thankful that she told me cause I really don’t have any idea that you to do a lists on what’s inside. I thought you just put everything in and that’s it. I guess, the rule was changed. Have to go and make this day productive.

Today is my friend’s birthday. She will be turning 35 years old. Most of us will turn 35 this year. We all laughed and said, we are getting old indeed. A few of them are still single. That was their choice and they are happy with that decision. I wouldn’t mind them getting married, hopefully they will change their minds. They are both successful career wise but seems, Mr. Right hasn’t come yet or maybe was overlook. LOL! I can’t tell. But they are happy, so that’s all it matters. They are fine being single, and never think that something is missing. I can’t wait to see all of them again, I hope soon, it will be a lot of fun for sure. Got to go, I need to give my folks a buzz, it has been a while since the last time I called. They must be wondering, why I haven’t called them yet. Take care.

I am feeling great waking up this morning. Although it’s a bit gloomy but it’s not that bad. It will definitely snow tomorrow in which I am not happy about it. The rush hour will be bad and very busy. My little boy is awake now, and in a few minutes will get ready to go to church. I try to get their on time so that they won’t be late for their Sunday school. After church, I told hubby that we won’t be able to go home but instead do some grocery shopping and so on and so forth. We need some stuff and I wanted to go to the Asian Store get some stuff, and maybe will have some Korean food for dinner. Pork wrapped in lettuce with some side dishes. That’s my specialty. I am thinking of getting some grated cassava and I will make cassava cake. I missed having it. Okay, got to go now and start my day, have a beautiful Sunday morning!

The first week of going back to school is almost over and so far so good. Kids adjusted quite well, no problem at all. Although sometimes my little boy wishes to sleep a little bit longer but I told him it’s not possible cause he needs to go to school on time. I will be in his classroom today helping out his teacher a little bit and do the “Thursday Folder”. My korean friend called me and she said that her son misses Joey a lot and wants to play with him on the weekend if it’s okay with me. She told me to go to her nail saloon and will be happy to do my nails if I like too. Free of charge. LOL! I told her some other time, I still have lots of things to do this weekend. Maybe next week since Monday will be a holiday and I would like to pamper myself a little. I have been busy checking fares online. I hope I can get the best deal for our airfare. It will be great. Hubby said just keep on checking and maybe will be lucky. Good morning!

A very busy Monday I supposed. Back to school and back to work.  Hubby said he can use another holiday. hehehe. His mind is not set, going back to work yet. He is still on winter wonderland mood. Anyway, I was feeling bored so i check out mysoju and start looking for an inspiration. I heard about this t-movie called “wish to see you again”. The leading man is so cute and handsome so I started watching it, and so far so good. There are some tears, some laughters, mixed emotions. One thing that struck me the most is the leading lady looked exactly like my sister in law. No matter what angle, it’s here. So I sent my SIL some pictures of this actress, they look like they are twins. Pretty amazing indeed.

Yes, a new year has come and I hope it will be better for all of us. Better economy as well so that people can find jobs instead of losing them. The party went great. It was everything as expected. Fun, fun, fun. In fact we went home around 2am. And when we got home, I have my own way of welcoming the new year in which the kids think were odd. hehehe. But anyway, I hope I did it right this time, welcoming the new year with so much hope, happiness and wishing all the good things that this new year brings. Kids will be back in school on the 6th. I have to get them to sleep early, since school will be coming up. It was a good holiday, good break and I am ready to welcome a new phase. I’ll have to wait and see then. Take care
